HVM was founded in 2014 by Brentwood resident Bill May following a 45+ year career in manufacturing. May’s background included extensive global experience as Senior Manager of Automotive Manufacturing and Engineering Organizations, during which he constructed, launched, and operated numerous new plants and products in the U.S. and Asia. During his 33-year tenure at General Motors, May was a Founding Team Executive for launching Saturn Corporation and later managing the General Motors site in Spring Hill, TN.
“I never anticipated that my career in manufacturing would lead to consulting and entrepreneurship,” said May. “Yet, in these ten years, my team and I have addressed a wide range of operational issues and directly impacted the success of numerous manufacturing facilities. It has been a challenging and rewarding journey.”
Over HVM’s ten years in business, the company has helped clients optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, lower costs, expand capacity, launch new plants, streamline supply chains, and adapt to evolving market dynamics. May has assembled a team of highly skilled, highly experienced manufacturing professionals – each with at least 25 years of plant floor experience – available for short-term, client-customized projects. HVM primarily serves clients in Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial Equipment industries.
