        General Manager Quality (DMAX) – Dayton, OH                                               

DMAX is a joint venture between General Motors and Isuzu for the design and manufacturing of the 6.6L diesel engine for GM. I was responsible for the entire quality organization, Supplier Quality (SQE, ASQ), Quality Assurance and Reliability Engineering. With 125 suppliers and >900 total components, quality never disrupted or shutdown DMAX production or the three vehicle assembly plants we shipped to. Our annual output for 6.6L engines >100k. In 2015 we passed our ISO recertification with zero NC and CI’s. In 2013 DMAX achieved BIQ III (Built in Quality) from General Motors, which demonstrated the quality processes were in place and operational, while achieving our quality targets.

 

 

        Senior Manager Powertrain Quality (SGM) – Shanghai, China             

SGM is a joint venture between General Motors and SAIC producing Cadillacs, Buicks, and Chevrolets in China. I was responsible for the Powertrain plants quality organizations, which included manufacturing quality, supplier quality, quality planning (PQM’s), Red X engineers, warranty engineers, and export / import activity. Our annual output for engines and transmission is >1.7 million. In 2012, the Yantai and Shanghai facilities both achieved BIQ III certification from General Motors. In 2007, we received the President’s quality award from CAMI for the HVV6 engine we supplied for the Equinox and Torrent vehicles produced in Canada.
